Redirect because userpage created in the main namespace.

Why on Earth would I want to contribute to a wiki → Wikipedia:Why on Earth would I want to contribute to a wiki[edit]
Cross namespace redirect Polonium 15:21, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- I really don't have anything agains CNRs, but noone's going to just type this in and expect to get where they want to go. Delete. -Zapptastic (talk) 18:27, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Delete CNR. feydey 13:23, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Keep for the same reason that we leave all the old CamelCase redirects alone. This is where the essay used to exist before the creation of separate namespaces. It is widely linked outside of Wikipedia and is one of the first essays providing popular insight on the workings of a wiki. Deleting this redirect will break those external links. The page also has history from before the merge - history which must be preserved to comply with GFDL. Rossami (talk) 22:48, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Keep per Rossami. 1ne 23:40, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Delete after merging history with current essay for GDFL compliance. The longer a article title, the more likely it is to interfere with legitimate encyclopedic search results. With an article title this length, the possible search terms it messes with are very high. MartinRe 09:43, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
- Keep - Let's not break others' links without strong and solid reason. It's very unlikely for a user to expect something else from a page named like that. CP/M comm |Wikipedia Neutrality Project| 12:10, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Comment: I have merged the page history to Wikipedia:Why on Earth would I want to contribute to a wiki that was left after the old-fashioned copy-paste move. Also, I don't find many links to it on a Google search, nearly all link to the Wikipedia namespace page. Note that this page was moved to its new location over 4.5 years ago, in February 2002; if the external pages that link to it even exist any more, they have already updated their links. —Centrx→talk • 23:03, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Economics (BSc Economics) → Westminster International University in Tashkent[edit]
This redirect might be appropriate only if this Uzbekistan institution were the only one in the world that offered a degree of this name; however, from text appearing on the redirect page itself, this is obviously not the case. Russ Blau (talk) 12:11, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Tank (for storing liquid) → wikt:Tank[edit]
Somewhat confusing redirect; title is unlikely to be typed, and it goes to Wiktionary (via {{subst:wi}}), so all the visitor will get is a dictionary definition of Tank anyway. I'm really not sure whether to delete this or to retarget it at Tank (a dab page) or Water tank. --ais523 15:11, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Make redirect to water tank. -Zapptastic (talk) 18:28, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Delete—useless. —Michael Z. 2006-09-05 03:37 Z
- Change target to Tank (disambiguation). This page has history. The original authors were trying to write a generalized article about storage tanks (as distinct from armored vehicles). There does not appear to be a general article but I don't see much reason to create on either. The redirect will point the users to the correct titles for the specific types of storage tanks. Rossami (talk) 22:48, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- The general article is at storage tank. We only have to keep history to give credit for edits to articles in Wikipedia; if the article is deleted then we don't need to keep history. —Michael Z. 2006-09-09 14:47 Z
- Change target per Rossami. 1ne 23:52, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Retarget to either Storage tank or Tank (disambiguation). CP/M comm |Wikipedia Neutrality Project| 14:02, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
WP:LFD → Wikipedia:Articles for deletion[edit]
One backlink (Wikipedia:Shortcuts), doesn't seem to make sense to me (not even as a plausible typo). --ais523 15:39, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- "Link For Deletion"? Just my guess. Jon Awbrey 17:56, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Delete I can't see why anyone would type this. There is no appearent connection to AFD and since they are on the opposite end of the keyboard I can't see anyone typing it by mistake.I found out it is short for Lists for deletion. I am not sure how common it is so I will abstain for now but if this is deleted LfD abd Lists for deletion should be deleted as well. --My old username 20:07, 4 September 2006 (UTC)- Conditional keep if this was a past name for AfD. If not, abstain. 1ne 23:51, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- It is WP:VfD, vote for deletion. Pavel Vozenilek 03:24, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
Earth(disambiguation) → Earth (disambiguation)[edit]
Seems a rather pointless redirect as it is unlikely to be typed by accident in a search box (I found it through using prefix search). EdJogg 22:07, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Keep, per {{R from alternate spelling}}. feydey 13:38, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Keep per feydey. 1ne 23:50, 5 September 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. No space before the parenthesis makes it unlikely. If kept, {{R from typo}} rather than {{R from alternate spelling}}. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 20:25, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
