U.T.C. (Bayonne) → U.T.C. (United Through Chaos)[edit]
Redirects to a speedily deleted article (see deletion log) Oden 17:20, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. Serves no purpose. --Czj 17:37, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Speedy delete per CSD R1. I have tagged it as such. Picaroon9288 18:28, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
Saul Tigh (Battlestar Galactica) → Saul Tigh[edit]
Simply entering Saul Tigh (for the article on the character) or Tigh (for the disambiguation page) would be a sufficient search term. This redirect with the long disambiguation phrase in parenthesis is unlikely ever to be used. BlueSquadronRaven 08:03, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. I agree. --Rbraunwa 14:06, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. Could be useful, causes no harm. -- SilverStar★ 14:14, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Keep. It's relevant. --Czj 17:39, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Keep, I guess. Causes no harm. However Colonel Tigh needs to be moved to Colonel Tigh (Battlestar Glacatica, 1978) (or something like that), with the original changed to a subdiambiguation of Tigh, as both the original and "reimagined" characters are known as Colonel Tigh. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 19:21, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Comment Anything to do with Battlestar Galactica is already horribly convoluted through disambiguation pages and redirects. Any more would be worse. I'd say, at most, Colonel Tigh needs a disambiguation link to Saul Tigh for the newer version of the character.--BlueSquadronRaven 21:57, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Commment Sorry, I hadn't considered how many characters were "in common" between the different BG series (serieses?). — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 23:17, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
- Keep per above. Cbrown1023 22:50, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
Certain redirects under List of towns and cities with 5,000,000+ inhabitants[edit]
List of towns and cities with 250,000+ inhabitants → List of towns and cities with 5,000,000+ inhabitants[edit]
Incorrectly named original article. --Czj 00:25, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - the redirect is factually misleading -- SilverStar★ 00:33, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Looking at the current history of List of towns and cities with 5,000,000+ inhabitants, this is the result of a pagemove. More than that, it's apparently a disputed pagemove. I have no opinion on the correct title for this page (I tend to agree with the comment on the Talk page that the whole thing is more trouble than it's worth) but at least while this dispute is still being worked out, let the redirect stay. Clean it up when we're sure the dispute is over or if/when the target article is deleted. Rossami (talk) 03:04, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - Even the 5,000,000 page is questionable (per talk page). Certainly no need for a list of 250,000+, or a deceiving redirect. -- Renesis (talk) 05:02, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete now. Misleading. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 19:22, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
* List of towns and cities with 5,000,000 or more inhabitants → List of towns and cities with 5,000,000+ inhabitants[edit]
Unreasonable redirect. --Czj 00:25, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Weak delete - no harm, but the asterisk at the beginning isn't a likely typo. -- SilverStar★ 00:33, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- This is related to the page-move dispute discussed above. It's also noted in the edit summary as a user-error. Delete unless it would be helpful to keep it until the dispute is definitely resolved. Rossami (talk) 03:06, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete. This was just a typo in a page move. It's not related to the page name dispute. --Rbraunwa 14:11, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete with the rest of the redirects. -- 05:02, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete because of asterisk. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 19:31, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
List of cities with more than 250 000 inhabitants → List of towns and cities with 5,000,000+ inhabitants[edit]
This is both an unreasonable redirect and made for the incorrectly named original article. --Czj 00:25, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete - the redirect is factually misleading -- SilverStar★ 00:33, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- This one is also related to the page-move dispute mentioned above. Keep until the dispute is definitively resolved. Rossami (talk) 03:07, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete with the rest of the redirects. -- 05:02, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete now. Misleading. — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 19:23, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
Hula jaw → George W. Bush substance abuse controversy[edit]
makes no sense. BabuBhatt 01:24, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete, or at least re-direct the redirect. "Hula jaw" seems to allude to one's jaw still moving after talking, apparently one sign of cocaine use. Google to see results about it. I suspect this is tied to Bush because there is a video circulating with a compilation showing Bush's jaw coincidentally doing this. If anything, this should be a re-direct to something regarding cocaine addiction, but not Bush in particular. --Czj 01:49, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Redirect to cocaine. BabuBhatt 17:48, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
Survivor: Fiji (Rumoured) → Survivor 14[edit]
Nothing links to the page. Also, I'm pretty sure no one would type (Rumored). They would just type Survivor: Fiji , which redirects to the same page this one does. TeckWizTalkContribs# of Edits 19:04, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete implausible search term Eluchil404 22:17, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete as implausible, per Eluchil404. --Czj 00:16, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. --Maxamegalon2000 06:32, 9 November 2006 (UTC)
- Delete This would never be used.--Húsönd 04:23, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Sean Rinehart → Sif[edit]
This is apparently nonsense. However, it's been around for a half a year, and I don't know a thing about Norwegian mythology, so I'm going to be safe and list this here. Picaroon9288 18:25, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Strong/speedy Delete. This was apparently a speedy nom back in April that got away. From the history, it looks like someone made a vanity article, then when it was speedy-nom'd, redirected it to God, and when it was speedy-nom'd a second time, they redirected it to Sif and it was forgotten about. --Czj 21:46, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- I've tagged it as CSD G1, seeing as my assumption of faggotry has been reassured. Picaroon9288 20:30, 6 November 2006 (UTC)
