[edit]- The file's source, [1]. indicates that it was taken by the New York City Office of Emergency Management, not by FEMA. Other photos on the city agency's website are (C) City of New York. There is no evidence this file is actually in the public domain. –Grondemar 02:50, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

- User:Proger seems to not understand the licensing policy, he uploaded numerous non-free photos under flase self-made claim on commons or there. This photo but differently cropped appeared on this website on 2009-11-09, so nearly a month before Proger uploaded it here therefore it's very unlikely that he is original photographer Oleola (talk) 05:23, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

- Derivative work of copyrighted packaging. Bulwersator (talk) 08:18, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- This is a useful photo showing the design and construction of a corrugated box. This is an important part of the article on Corrugated Box Design. Please keep this photo. Rlsheehan (talk) 23:31, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- File:Osprey Statue UNF.JPG (delete | talk | history | logs).
- No FOP in USA for statues Bulwersator (talk) 08:20, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- The university opened in 1969. If the statue was made before 1978 and without a copyright notice, there is no problem. But I can't find any date for it or any information about copyright notices. --Stefan2 (talk) 12:51, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

- Dubious PD-self claim, see metadata ("Author Mark Herman") Bulwersator (talk) 08:21, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
This is Ronnie Apter talking. Mark Herman is my husband. We took headshots of each other. He is perfectly willing for the jpeg to be released into the public domain. I, in fact, am the person who entered the name Mark Herman into the metadata. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Operatranslation (talk • contribs) 01:06, 6 January 2012 (UTC)

- Tagged as public domain, described as copyrighted, without fair use rationale (required to keep copyrighted works in free encyclopedia) Bulwersator (talk) 08:27, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- Keep Depending on the threshold of originality in New Zealand, this is either {{PD-ineligible}} or {{PD-ineligible-USonly}}. A fair use rationale is not needed if the image is in the public domain in the United States as far as I know. --Stefan2 (talk) 14:35, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
- Dubious self made claim, logo on the picture, without exif Bulwersator (talk) 08:33, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- File:MangiVillageTemple.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Strange EXIF. Seems to be a scan of some piece of paper. Also unused. Stefan2 (talk) 10:19, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- File:Edler.JPG (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Strange source: author is claimed to be "EC" but uploader is User:Zorbzorb123. User:EC is apparently a deceased Wikipedia editor, but I'm not sure if he means the same EC. It could mean a lot of things according to EC. If kept, it should be moved to Commons where it should be given

- Book cover which I suppose isn't free. Might qualify as fair use, though. If kept, the EXIF orientation tag should be reset. Stefan2 (talk) 10:44, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

- PD-text/PD-shape for book cover, Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 License for photo Bulwersator (talk) 20:48, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- File:Mohave City.PNG (delete | talk | history | logs).
- There is no evidence of publication as required to use {{PD-US}} tag. Source is just some website. No Author given and image could have been taken as early as 1939, so it could be copyrighted under the Authors Death date. While image may be PD the uploader has failed to supply the required supporting information. --ARTEST4ECHO (talk/contribs) 20:01, 5 January 2012 (UTC)

- Appears to be scanned from a printed source. Eeekster (talk) 23:07, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- No, you are incorrect. I took the image myself. Check the image history. It appears that the color was touched up by another user recently. Copyright information CC by 3.0 was added when I originally uploaded the image. Removing tag per policy. Postoak (talk) 00:43, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
