- File:Macbeth uniform.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Original work (apparently a video) may have been copy left, but there is no indication that this photograph that appeared in the video was released under a free license. Gobōnobo + c 09:46, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Tagged {{PD-because|official item legally exempt from copyright in its country of origin}}. But the source page [1] has, right at the bottom, a link that says "copyright", which leads to [2]. There we see: "This site and all content included on it is copyrighted and protected by worldwide copyright laws and treaty provisions.…" —Bkell (talk) 16:14, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- I am not at all familiar with {{OGL}}, but it may (or may not) apply here. I've asked for more expertly opinion at commons:COM:VPC#Where does OGL apply. Magog the Ogre (t • c) 03:15, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- Tagged {{PD-because|official item legally exempt from copyright in its country of origin}}. However, to the best of my knowledge, there is nothing exempting works created by local governments in the United Kingdom from copyright protection. See also the preceding two listings. —Bkell (talk) 16:22, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- This is a book cover, apparently taken from [5]. The uploader claims it is his own work, but there is no evidence that the uploader is the creator or copyright holder of the book cover, and there is no evidence that the copyright holder has agreed to release the cover under the GFDL and CC-BY-SA-3.0 as claimed. —Bkell (talk) 16:26, 27 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

- The uploader has given no explanation of why an image obtained from "School of Geology and Geological Engineering, University of North Dakota" is a work of the US Geological Survey. Where was this image obtained in this department? Does it list any authorship? This is all relevant, because if this is its first publication, it quite possibly isn't public domain (unless we know the author), and if it isn't its first publication, we need to know this in order to establish its status. - I am faculty at the "School of Geology and Geological Engineering, University of North Dakota" and this is from our archive. Dr. Leonard also did a good bit of work for USGS in lignite so either way, the image is public domain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Yarbrold (talk • contribs) 21:34, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
