- Sending this here for discussion due to it's history. It was un-licensed at upload, than {{GFDL}}, than CCL 2.5 because, according to the uploader "accreditation required." In 2011 an editor felt it was a derivative work so marked it with {{non-free 3D art}} and {{di-no fair use rationale}}. A few days later another editor removed those, added {{di-no permission}}, the other editor reverted that, that was reverted because "It's middle ground". Even though it was set for deltion is seven days an admin removed it th enext day saying "the tag is only for images whose source isn't the uploader, and this is an own work", that was reverted, and that was reverted with "This is not tagged as non-free." So, the question is twofold - one is what is the source? Who made this doll and is it under copyright and/or trademark? How old? The image is for sure a {{derivative}} work and doubtful the uploader had anything to do with the doll itself other than taking the picture of it. (See also User removing non-free license tags on derivative works ANI and Some images that need fixing) Soundvisions1 (talk) 03:21, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete unless depicted 3D artwork (the doll) is shown to be non-copyrighted. Kelly hi! 02:06, 13 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Even if considered a derivative work, this is a valid fair use reason when the image is used to discuss the artistic genre or technique of the work of art, and rationale can be easily added. Marokwitz (talk) 08:58, 20 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- No, because it it's a copyrighted derivative work, it can be replaced with a free image per WP:NFCC#1. Kelly hi! 01:11, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
