- Restriction on image description page states "for free use within Wikipedia was granted" - that restriction "within" may be too restrictive under cc license. Should have WP:OTRS to clarify. Skier Dude (talk) 07:18, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Would you explain in plain English what you want to happen next to allow this image to be used? JMcC (talk) 14:35, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- This restriction appears to say that it can be used only within wikipedia, which is contrary to the basic CC license, that it can be used in some manner outside of wikipedia. The restriction should be removed to clarify that it truly is CC3.0. Also, since the uploader is not the photographer, proof of the release into a CC license should be obtained by going through the WP:OTRS confirmation system. Skier Dude (talk) 19:28, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- The link that you give is to an article about the Wikipedia:Volunteer response team called WP:OTRS. Nice to know that these people exist but I simply asked what I should do next. The link does not answer this request. The "Contact us" link in this article gives the general query page. I would have to spend ages researching something that should be answered in a few seconds. I merely would like the wording of the permission that I can ask the photographer to send. He is happy for the photograph to be used in any way at all. I would also like the address to whom he should be send this permission. Sadly Wikipedia seems to make these things as obscure as possible. JMcC (talk) 18:33, 19 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Short version, your photographer friend needs to contact OTRS and verify that he indeed releases it under a free license (or compatible license). If you need additional assistance, please contact me on my talk page. — BQZip01 — talk 00:24, 27 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Kinda Iffy - Mozilla Prizim is is licensed under GNU/GPL it is a free program, however the windows 7 Areo interface is copyrighted it would be better if we cloud get this screen-shot from Linux but i don't use Linux because it gets in the way of my work, So do you men the to ask weather the application's screen-shot free, or the window, of course the Wikipedia home-screen is free! Koman90, A+ (talk) 14:42, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Allow me to clarify Mozilla prism is a Mozilla application similar to a browser, however it has a reduced interface for the application to be only a window with the website in it for sites that already have tier own interface, Wikipedia for instance. Thus the Sreenshot of the application is free, however the windows 7 areo interface is trademarked to microsoft, this rely should be re-done in linux.
