Mah Laqa Bai[edit]

I've listed this article for peer review because I wanted to nominate it for FA.

Thanks, Omer123hussain (talk) 10:56, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

NOTE, when you close this peer review, please be sure to remove it from Template:FAC peer review sidebar. If FA regulars have to do all the maintenance, they may stop following that very useful sidebar :) Good luck, SandyGeorgia (Talk) 17:44, 25 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

SG comments[edit]

General advice about how to approach FAC is in my essay at User:SandyGeorgia/Achieving excellence through featured content.

  • See MOS:SANDWICH.
  • See MOS:CAPTIONS, sentence fragments do not have a full stop.
  • FAs are supposed to be comprehensive; that is, there should only be things listed in Further reading or External links that for some good reason have content that cannot be incorporated into the article. There is an awful lot of "Further reading" for a VERY short article.
  • Legacy and influence is a list, which should be written as prose.
  • There are grammatical errors and run-on sentences, sample only (there is quite a bit of this): After the Battle of Kharda in 1795 AD the Nizam II was defeated by Maratha Madhavrao II which lead to the Treaty of Kharda; according to treaty the Nizam II had to cede some of the Maratha territories along with Arastu Jah—(the then Quilladar of Aurangabad) as hostage in Poona.

The prose is quite a long ways from that required for Featured articles, and although I don't know the topic, I find it difficult to believe the article is comprehensive when there are that many untapped sources in Further reading. SandyGeorgia (Talk) 22:27, 24 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks SandyGeorgia for your review, corrected as per review.
