Hey, I have works on quite a few FLs, and would be more than happy to provide you with some suggestions. Right off the bat, this appears to be a solid candidate for FL, and is clearly worthy of being a FL. There are a few issues, nothing major, which you might be interested in sorting out before formally nominating.

Accessebility

• Every list needs a title. If the title would be a repetition on the article's title, then it is suggested to use the {{Sronly}} for the screen reader software. All in all, I'd like you to replace:

with

{| class="wikitable sortable"
|+ {{sronly|List of chief commissioners of the Victoria Police from 1853 – till date.}}

• For every column heading, you'll need to use ! scope=col | <Column name>. I've done one as an example [1].
• All the images need WP:ALTTEXT

General

• It is a standard practice that names are sorted by surname. I use the {{Sortname}} for this, and it really helps. Suggesting you either to use the same, or the other standard practice is to add | data-sort-value="<Surname>, <Name>" | <Name> for every name. Upto you.
• It would help if you can just center align the notes column
• Just add a center aligned {{emdash}} in all those entries where images are not available.
• Last line of lead needs a reference.
• Suggesting to expand the lead a bit, looks on a shorter side.
• For coding and all, suggesting you to take a look at this list. Let me know if you need any help or have any questions.
