Wikipedia:WikiProject Media franchises[edit]

This project was started back in 2003 as WikiProject Fictional series and went inactive in 2007 and renamed to WikiProject Media franchises in 2008 and went inactive in 2010 with no activity, no new members and no new tasks forces (The Texas Chain saw Massacre task force was proposed in 2008, although it never happened). • Delete, though I'd reconsider if someone has a different proposal that looks viable. --Kleinzach 23:18, 29 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete-- per above. --E♴(talk) 00:29, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete it was a nice thought, but nothing much seems to have come of it.--Tærkast (Communicate) 15:01, 30 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Keep - There may be hope for the project yet, assuming there are editors interested enough to revive it.--Tærkast (Communicate) 17:33, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep no valid reasons for deletion given. We do not delete a WikiProject simply because it is inactive. -- Ned Scott 09:35, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep would be useful to merge other projects into this one as taskforces when they become inactive. 65.93.12.101 (talk) 14:10, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep per Ned Scott. If anything, the debacle over various Transformers AfDs demonstrates that this idea is sorely needed. Jclemens (talk) 07:50, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Was active. There is potential for revival. Inactivity is not a good reason for deletion. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:20, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep In nominating this for deletion, JJ98 explains why this should be kept: "This project was started back in 2003 as WikiProject Fictional series and went inactive in 2007 and renamed to WikiProject Media franchises in 2008 and went inactive in 2010." Given these long stretches of activity, preserving all this history is for the best – especially since, as noted above, it might be ripe for revival.
