Wikipedia:WikiProject Hello! Project[edit]

Wikipedia:WikiProject Hello! Project (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Dead project, this project started back in 2005 and went inactive 2008 and active again and went inactive in 2010. JJ98 (Talk) 00:03, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete Too narrow, only four members, some discussions. Have informed Japan project in case they want to suggest something (they probably won't!). --Kleinzach 03:21, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep and mark as historical and {{inactive}} (the latter of which has already happened). This project was very active at one point, and the MFD guidelines very clearly state that inactive projects should not be deleted. You already know this, too, JJ98, and yet you are still flagrantly ignoring the guidelines. Please stop with this. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 16:18, 11 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep and also suggest that this be merged or affiliated with a related WikiProject or two. FTR, I am the person who started this particular WikiProject; various bullshit regarding Wikipedia's policies against fair use of living person images, amongst other things, led to the project becoming dormant. • It might work to combine with the Music task force of WikiProject Japan, if you want to merge it. I don't think it needs to be merged, though, as it has a considerable body of work all on its own. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WikiProject Japan! 06:24, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
      • Wikipedia:WikiProject Japan/Music task force is inactive, but given the Japan project has 31 task forces that's hardly surprising! Anyway if WikiProject Japan/Nihonjoe want Hello! Project redirected there — 'merge' in this case means redirect, right? — I'm happy to support that as a solution. --Kleinzach 12:20, 13 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep and leave tagged as inactive. Yes it is a narrow focus but there was some activity for a while. Collaborative editing is what wikipedia is supposed to be about, and this approach directly undermines that. Tagging as inactive saves some future collaborators reinventing the wheel.
