Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:WikiProject AfD closing (2nd nomination)

The result of the debate was Delete - this was never a very active maintenance project and the primary participant and creator has asked that it be deleted and apparently the co-creator has no objection; absent some compelling reason to save the information here it should be deleted, it wasn't even such a bad idea that we should keep it to remind us, it was just an idea that never took off and really had no future. Wikipedia:WikiProject AfD closing[edit]

This was created back in 2006 in an effort to inform all editors of AfD discussions, so they did not renominate unwittingly. Its only scope was to place the oldafdtag on the talk pages of previously nominated discussions. Once this hit MfD the first time in March, I removed the inactive tag to show I was still interested in finishing the project and complete its task. But after the MfD was over, the other co creator didn't have any interest in participating and informed me he had lost the script we were using to locate all of the articles that met the criteria we were looking for.

I now believe this project is futile and even if I were to locate someone with script writing capabilities, once all the talk pages were tagged, the project would be over (As a side note, if you know of someone or are someone who can write something similar to what was used by the project, please drop by my talk page. I would still like to complete this task and I can use my userspace to post all the links). I also do not believe it will serve any useful purpose as historical so delete.

I'm also nominating of course, the subpages for this project (from Special:PrefixIndex). I'm posting them all for easy access for the admin willing to delete:

As a side note, I'm also going to bring the only redirect to RfD and two templates to TfD following this transclusion. — MaggotSyn 12:28, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep Tag as inactive. Quite a lot of effort seemed to have been put into this, at one time. -- Ned Scott 07:42, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. I was the most active user there, and the creator. This is entirely in good faith. Also, its dead, not inactive. — MaggotSyn 12:18, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Meh, consider me neutral, then. -- Ned Scott 06:37, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Its already tagged as inactive and consider the possibility that since I was the main contributor to said project that its really no longer needed, especially for historical purposes. — MaggotSyn 10:46, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
