Wikipedia:Thesis (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

The, uh, thesis of this essay is encapsulated in its first sentence: Wikipedia articles should contain a thesis statement early in their introductions and listed at the top their talk pages. This is just plain wrong. Essays are given fairly wide latitude to adopt minority viewpoints, but this runs directly counter to WP:NOTESSAY, a widely accepted policy. Keeping it in projectspace risks confusing any newcomers who might come across it, and it has essentially no redeeming educational value to weigh against that. {{u|Sdkb}}talk 06:21, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
