Wikipedia:Long term abuse/JarlaxleArtemis[edit]

We don't need these elaborate pages giving a hall of fame to blatant vandals - if someone is blatantly compromising the integrity of the encyclopedia, we block them. Similar pages (Wikipedia:Long term abuse/Willy on Wheels/Wikipedia:Long term abuse/Mr. Pelican Shit) also got deleted, so I don't see why this should stay. Note: I'm going through the Wikipedia vandalism category and listing all these related pages for mfd. --AAA! (AAAAAAAAAAAA) 10:18, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Neutral. I'm not sure about the theory that these pages encourage problem users. However this user seems to have left the project so the page is, thankfully, no longer necessary. -Will Beback · · 11:21, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong Speedy Keep Because of the whole mailbombing thing with the request password issue. Until the next patch of mediawiki comes out with this fix and most people upgrade (some have year old versions) this info needs to stay up so people can beware of this problem. • Question: Why is his real name, high school, and lots of personal information in there? Isn't that against some kind of policy? Anomo 11:48, 17 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
He put it on his userpage when he wasn't banned, it's not like someone stalked him up one side and down the other to find it out. However, if it's not appropriate (I'm not expressing my opinion on that), you can remove it. 68.39.174.238 01:04, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. I don't see these pages as "halls of fame," but as "rap sheets." It's conceivable that JarlaxleArtemis may at some point in the future attempt to join the community again. Therefore, the page should remain so Wikipedians & admins unfamiliar with his behavior can quickly familiarize themselves.--Robbstrd 03:15, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong keep per Anomo and Robbstrd. ~crazytales·t·c 18:57, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep this and other pages at Wikipedia:Long term abuse#Subpages. They are useful for identifying persistent vandals (many of whom use sockpuppets or anonymous IPs) and for issuing complaints to the appropriate ISPs or, if necessary, law enforcement officials. —Psychonaut 19:29, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
