The result of the debate was Delete (WP:SNOW). Consensus is already clear, and there can only be one outcome here. It's nice to receive a barnstar, and it's nice to give one, but they have no official status and no standards apply; furthermore Wikipedia is not a competition. --kingboyk 21:55, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - I've seen people give stars to themselves, and worse, the stars are often given by POV pushers to each other. This is like back in 10th grade when people would rate their classmates based on how cool they are. Pointless to say the least. Part Deux 00:09, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
