Wikipedia:Discord/Quotes (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

As original creator, what started out as a sort of funny joke is now just content that is unrelated to Wikipedia. We've already had privacy issues with private handles being added and considering the guidelines on Discord messages it seems like an excessive ask to keep a page like this, especially if users withdraw permissions etc. – Isochrone (T) 19:44, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Noting for transparency that the issues with this page were being discussed on Discord around the same time this MfD was filed. While the canvassing rules are crystal clear there, I hope anyone affiliated with the Discord server will mark themselves accordingly in this discussion. • Delete per NOTWEBHOST.—Alalch E. 23:26, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
As a prolific member of the Discord server, I used this several times in the past. It certainly never should have been moved into project space, and if kept it should be moved into userspace. I volunteer to host it in my userspace if people would prefer that to deletion. I'm ambivalent on deleting vs. keeping. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 23:42, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per WP:NOTWEBHOST. Even if the page is userfied, then WP:UPNOT would be an issue. Don't get me wrong I love Discord, but a majority of users here won't understand these inside jokes (how is a post about tea by "Rexo" relevant to Wikipedia again?). - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 13:30, 15 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete Look, I am in the Wikipedia Discord server, but I think this is still a clear cut violation of NOTWEBHOST given that the page is full of quotes and other content that has little to no relevance to Wikipedia. — Prodraxis {talkcontribs} (she/her) 02:34, 17 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as a violation of WP:NOTWEBHOST. — Sundostund mppria (talk / contribs) 16:39, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - Highly problematic in project space. Not certain about userfying either since it doesn't bear any specific purpose other than to be a trove of indiscriminate information. Cheerio, WaltClipper -(talk) 12:48, 19 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
