If this would be an article it would be CSD'd immediately. The humor tag is being used to protect these silly articles. Anyone here even find these nerdy articles even remotely funny? The humor tag is undeserved.Kevinjonpalma11 (talk) 06:17, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

What's the relevance of this article? I mean if the humor tag is removed this article would be speedy deleted anyway. And the fact whether it deserve that humor template is debatable. 130.105.224.218 (talk) 13:17, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment - I assume the above remark is from Kevinjonpalma11 and you forgot to sign in? In any case, this is not an article, it's an esssy. It doesn't have to be notable. Do you have any valid argument? John from Idegon (talk) 23:19, 2 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong Keep - This isn't an article, it is a reasonable essay.— Godsy (TALKCONT) 04:14, 3 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Valid, project-related essay. It is satire. Some have trouble seeing satire as humor, I don't think the humor tag is important, just that the essay relates to the project. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 02:06, 4 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep as mentioned above.— JJBers (talk) 20:49, 5 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep | PRINTING REASON: "Even though I don't have a sense of humor (mostly), I can see how it would be funny to others, considering barnstars are a generous gift to give."_ CyanoTex (talk) 08:26, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep As stated above, the essay in question is satirical attempt to demonstrate that giving and receiving barnstars is not everything, is not always an accurate reflection of the meaning or value of one's contribution to Wikipedia, and the very significance of barnstars is often degraded when people go around giving them out to those whom they consider a friend rather then those who deserve them. On this basis, the essay more than justifies itself and, in my view, provides an important lesson to new Wikipedians more generally speaking; Quite often the most valuable work is that which seemingly goes unnoticed. Further, nominating pages for deletion without notifying their significant contributors is widely considered to be a grubby move - I'd strongly encourage Kevinjonpalma11 to be a little more courteous to the works of others in future, even if he doesn't value said work. Finally, any shortcomings of humour in this essay could easily be edited away - There is nothing innate about the topic of barnstar obsession that is unworthy for a project space essay.   «l|Promethean|l»  (talk) 09:24, 10 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
