The result of the discussion was Keep WP:UP is a guideline, and relies a lot on a prohibition against "excessive personal information", and excessive is subjective (and there's no consensus here that it is excessive). Past that, the good sense of much of it (places visited) would draw no concern if it were in a bunch of UserBoxes rather than in a table designed by the user is not refuted and hard to dispute. User:Sirocco758[edit]

This is nothing but a list of places visited or scheduled to be visited by the user. Nothing here has anything to do with Wikipedia, and as such it violates WP:NOTWEBHOST. Drmies (talk) 14:22, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Comment. Was this nomination really necessary? There was already an ongoing discussion on the user's talk page about the content of his user page, and he was being very cooperative. He had already removed a great deal of content from it and was asking whether the page in its current state was now acceptable. —Psychonaut (talk) 16:00, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

USER:SIROCCO758 - I have added {{db-userreq}} to all sandbox pages considered for deletion but I refuse to have my user page deleted as I cant see what I have done wrong on it, its only personal info about me (the user) and has info on it that I would like to keep. Comment. I did warn the user this could happen when I drew his attention to WP:USERBIO and WP:FAKEARTICLE. The fake article was promptly removed. The bio content is still excessive but to be fair much of it (places visited) would draw no concern if it were in a bunch of UserBoxes rather than in a table designed by the user. Keep However this page looked when it was nominated, it's fine now. Plenty of editors use their user pages to share their travels, often using national or subnational flags. That Sirocco758 has chosen to include more detailed itineraries is not a reason for deletion, if perhaps personally unwise. Sirocco, your cooperation on your talk page is noted and appreciated, but I'm afraid you can't "refuse to have [your] user page deleted." Delete - There's no WP:UP relationship between the excessive travel information posted to User:Sirocco758 and Sirocco758's contributions to Wikipedia.[1] User Page excessive unrelated content does not allow a weblog recording your non-Wikipedia activities. Since Sirocco758 doesn't contribute to any of the articles listed on User:Sirocco758, no Wikipedia editor would have a reason to approach Sirocco758 to collaborate on any of the listed destinations. However, if Sirocco758 were to add some of his/her travel photos to the Wikipedia articles, for example, that may justify a user page that lists travel destinations. USER:SIROCCO758 - Comment 2 - Can anyone tell me when the outcome of this deletion nomination will be decided please. I have removed a lot of content and what is there I can see NO wrong in it, the pictures of Alex Arthur and St Ives Bay Holiday Park are MINE which i took on those breaks mentioned.
