To paraphrase Rod Serling, "Submitted for your disapproval…"

  • Delete all - Wikipedia is not a free host/social networking site (and Calton, you can have the rest of the day off after that sterling performance) Yomanganitalk 09:27, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all per nom. MER-C 10:35, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete all. I can see how a few might qualify for wikipedia articles on their own (maybe), but this is not the way to include them. Badbilltucker 13:49, 12 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong keep --
1. Lots of other Wikipedia editors, including high-volume editors, have not too dissimilar user pages to some of these. I did not look at every onme.
2. I think these should be done one at a time or else in groups of very similar user pages.

1) what part of "clearly who ain't here for the editin', but for the publicizin'." did you miss? What part of the listed edit counts (highest number, 24 -- 10 of which were to the Sandbox) was unclear?
2) They ARE all similiar, as laid out in the nomination and chart. To recap, these:
a) are user pages that were moved from article space by an admin/editor.
b) were originally articles that were originally speedy-delete candidates or speedy-delete eligible.
c) have page creators who have few/no edits outside user space.
d) have page creators who have not edited (with one exception) since the initial page creation, a minimum of 2 months. The sole exception was one (1) edit to the user's own user page.
e) are, prima facie, not user pages, but attempts to use Wikipedia as a free webhost/promotional vehicle. WP:NOT, stating that Wikipedia is not a free web host is applicable.
