User:MQDuck/userboxes/Right To Resist[edit]

WP:UBCR does not allow propaganda, advocacy, or opinion pieces on politics. WP:POLEMIC does not allow inflammatory content in userspace. This userbox references the Iraqi insurgency (2003–2011), which is associated with terrorist groups in Iraq. Users in previous MfD chose to allow this on invalid arguments, such as WP:NOTFREESPEECH. The previous discussion was closed with no consensus nearly 15 years ago, during which time the project has grown considerably and advocacy of terrorism has greater potential to bring the project into disrepute. Comment, whoever nominated this for deletion forgot to surround the deletion template in noinclude tags which made it seem like Ertly's userpage was nominated for deletion. Keep: This userbox has no link whatsoever with the terrorist organisations. It acknowledges the right of ordinary Iraqis to resist foreign occupation. If you now support Ukraine against Russian invasion, it does not mean you back up any fringe Neo-Nazi organisations, you support the ordinary Ukrainians fighting to get their land back.Ogün Eratalay ^message 06:37, 10 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
