The result of the discussion was delete all. Killiondude (talk) 00:51, 22 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

These are lyrics that are made up the editor. WIkipedia is not a personal web host. Joe Chill (talk) 03:36, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm formally bundling these related subpages into Joe's nomination:
  • Delete Wikipedia is not this user's webhost, and these pages have nothing to do with Wikipedia. These pages were created in August 2008, and the user has made very few edits since then (and none at all since June). Although it appears that they were once here to build an encyclopedia, they aren't any longer. A Stop at Willoughby (talk) 05:24, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete them all Wikipedia aren't here to keep content in userspace. Miami33139 (talk) 09:02, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep Not spam. Not controversial. Seems to be poetry of all things -- and I would point out that many senior editors on WP have poetry on their userpages. The idea that nothing personal should be in userspace is not supported by any precedent, guideline or policy. Absent a reason to delete, default to keep. Collect (talk) 13:55, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Really? Joe Chill (talk) 19:29, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
      • Collect seems to disagree with that policy, and regularly !votes keep on almost every MfD. Most of the regular MfD debate closers probably take that into account by now and weigh his !vote appropriately, I'd hope. Gigs (talk) 20:37, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
        • Thanks for forgetting that almost every single userpage is deletable by strict construction of such a policy. I !vote on only about half of MfDs, and !vote delete where appropriate, so trying to assert that I hold an absolute position on keeping everything is nicely wrong <g>. Where I do not opine, it is generally because I think deletion is correct, but jumping on bandwagons is not my style at all. And I think suggesting that where a person gives reasons for positions, that suggesting the reasons be ignored is not a good thing to do. Thanks! Collect (talk) 21:11, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
          • I recognize your position isn't absolute, you do !vote delete, rarely. It's our policy to delete userspace pages with no project-related purpose. It is a low bar, we generally give latitude for things even tangentially related. Since your rationale here doesn't indicate how these pages are related to the project in the slightest, I believe your rationale does not represent a policy-based justification for your !vote, and should be weighed accordingly. WP:NOHARM is more acceptable here at MfD, but only when the pages don't contradict some other policy, like WP:NOTWEBHOST. Gigs (talk) 21:27, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
            • My rationale is that it is poetry, and many users, including senior editors, have such in userspace. Poetry does, in fact, tell others about the editor. Certainly better than pages with "test" as their sole content. And I do not keep lists of articles which get kept when I thought they should be deleted -- for months <g> (since January?). About 3/4 of the MfDs are for material which should be deleted. I had not realized that by saying nothing I was !voting "keep" on them. I !vote Keep when I feel the reasons for deletion are lacking. So as for saying my reasons should be disregarded because I think 1/4 should be kept - whilst you feel 100% should be deleted -- I leave it to the outside oberver to decide whose !votes should be ignored. Collect (talk) 21:56, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete This pages serve no encyclopedia-related purpose, even when widely construed to include all tangential topics such as community and open source, collaboration, etc. This is the spirit of WP:NOTWEBHOST. Gigs (talk) 20:42, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Speedy delete the first two as a copyright violation (did nobody do the research?). "The Way I Am" and "Sorry Ms Jackson" are both by Swishahouse (the latter is apparently actually titled "Haters Be Askin"). "rap.it" appears to be original, albeit *cough* somewhat subpar (although I must confess that this is probably the only place I'll see the words "I had to kill my sandwich".) So I'll stick with a neutral, tending towards delete on it. Zetawoof(ζ) 08:55, 15 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. Reasonable leeway for a productive editor. See Wikipedia:Editors matter. This is assuming that there is no copyright infringement. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 11:15, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Copyvios can be speedied. That is not the issue here presented, to be sure. Collect (talk) 12:28, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have speedy'd "Sorry Ms Jackson". I'm not convinced the others are violations at this point. Gigs (talk) 23:51, 16 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
See above. Zetawoof(ζ) 16:07, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
