See also The Plant Genome. Can these really be 10 year-old copyvios? (https://dl.sciencesocieties.org/publications/tpg/about) Adam9007 (talk) 23:30, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Blank if bothered. If a copyright violation, use G12. Calling copyright over two sourced lede paragraphs like that is being a bit copyright-paranoid, I think it is well within allowable quotation. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 23:38, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • I cannot confirm that the userpage copies the website rather than the other way around, as the Wayback Machine's oldest capture is from 2014. However, the material reads as information that a journal would write on its website to summarize itself, in terms of both content and prose. Particularly of interest is the fact that "Technical breakthroughs reporting improvements in the efficiency and speed of acquiring and interpreting plant genomics data are welcome," despite the fact that there is no apparent mechanism for submitting the aforesaid on the userpage (on the website, the mechanism is the website). I would consider a copyright violation to be highly probable. Given this, and because this page serves no purpose other than to promote the website, I have tagged it for speedy deletion under G12.
