Sure it's interesting to look at these climate tables, but as established in the 2013 MfD of a different, similar user sandbox that contained fake weather tables and not much else, I'm thinking this fails U5 (Wikipedia is not a personal web host). 65HCA7 22:12, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I understand but I actually have some real data on there. I have made useful edits in the past relating to climate boxes; would you like me to add copies of those in my sandbox as proof? Josanator95 (talk) 03:55, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Either way, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a web host. You can make climate tables all you want in Excel, on a different website, or whatever, but Wikipedia is not a personal storage place for stuff unrelated to Wikipedia's goals. 65HCA7 20:31, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What's the big deal with it anyway? Am I using up unnecessary space or something? Josanator95 (talk) 01:38, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Not really that, unless you count that Wikipedia's server has to store the page and all the revisions to it. It's just that there's a rule that states that Wikipedia is not a personal web host; I'm not entirely sure of the exact reasoning behind it myself; all I'm doing is trying to enforce the rules. 65HCA7 11:25, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ok. Is there another wiki-style server that allows what I do? I have all the raw data/text backed up to my personal computer so it'd be ideal if I could make an account there and just paste the text in. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Josanator95 (talkcontribs)

I don't know of any, but if you find one, feel free to maintain your fictional climates and stuff there instead of here. 65HCA7 20:33, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
