WP:STALEDRAFT (for List of Zomba Group companies) Mdrnpndr (talk) 20:40, 15 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not a staledraft, but the actual live article version history. Redirect to List of Zomba Group companies to simulate the result of the page move that should have been performed instead of the copy-paste. Keep the history at the discretion of User:Ibanez Guy. No attribution-copyright issues. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:44, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    • Strong oppose redirect as nominator per WP:STALEDRAFT; would not oppose history merge (without redirect) Mdrnpndr (talk) 00:59, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Why? Do you not understand that the link WP:STALEDRAFT does not apply to this page because it is actual drafting of an extant article? A history merge could be done, overkill perhaps. Why oppose the redirect, do you think that redirects in userspace are not allowed? --SmokeyJoe (talk) 01:13, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keeping drafts, original or otherwise, redirected or otherwise, even history merged or otherwise, in userspace indefinitely goes against the very core of what Wikipedia stands for, period. Userspace (including page history kept there) is simply not accessible to all in the same way mainspace is. Mdrnpndr (talk) 01:31, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Period? No, you have a very odd idea. For Wikipedia's core, see WP:5P for starts. A more mainstream opinion is that the community of Wikipedia editors is something to be valued and respected. Collegiality is part of that. Interfering in others' userspace without good reason is quite the opposite of collegiality.
"Userspace (including page history kept there) is simply not accessible to all in the same way mainspace is"? No idea what the purpose of this sentence is.
There is no reason for deletion offered. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 07:59, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • No reason for deletion? Well, sure, if you're going to ignore policy... also, perhaps a reminder that you do not WP:UP#OWN your userspace is pertinent here.
You know what? I'm done here. Let the closing admin decide. Mdrnpndr (talk) 15:19, 16 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. There should be no copies of existing articles. This page was obviously used as a draft/sandbox before Ibanez Guy made the mainspace article, so merge histories if it matters (but there is no attribution issue as it is). -- P 1 9 9   13:53, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
