There appears to be no reliable, independent coverage of this BLP, and as such, fails WP:BIO. The only articles I was able to find on Google are those that she significantly contributed to somehow. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 04:06, 2 November 2010 (UTC)

• Move to Talat Hamdani The userspace draft is now amply sourced (the improvements were made after the initiation of this MfD). After a read-through of the draft, I believe that Talat Hamdani passes Wikipedia:Notability. Cunard (talk) 08:40, 3 November 2010 (UTC)
• Keep -- Perhaps Talat Hamdani's very first public mentions were due to her peripheral involvement with the attacks on 9-11 -- and this didn't lead to lasting notability for most individuals with that level of involvement who were and remain what nominator claims Hamdani is -- blp1e. But there are a small number of exceptions, individuals whose initial marginal involvement became a lever for them to establish themselves as notable public figures. Evan Kohlmann wrote a thesis on Osama bin Laden. He parlayed this to become the king of the independent counter-terrorism commentators, and started a whole foundation to play his tune. Debra Burlingame is the sister of one the pilots of one of the hijacked planes. She too helped found an institute. Talat Hamdani didn't start a foundation or institute. But she is quoted several times a year, and she is sought out by prominent public figures. The King of Jordan, for instance, personally requested meeting her as a vocal and high-profile muslim loved one of a 9-11 victim. She has become a symbol like Joe the plumber. I believed, when I started these notes that I would come across sufficient references to justify moving this to article space. I believe it is ready for that move now. • Move to mainspace. I think it can be supported there. Anyone who actually thinks it a BLP violation can AfD it. But had it not been improved, I would have !voted to keep it; most of Geo's drafts have ended up as accepted mainspace articles, though some have been deleted there. • Move to Talat Hamdani per Cunard. I think the move to article space should have been maintained and this MfD closed, because the article then would be subject to AfD, which is a better place to address article BLP issues. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 07:49, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Oh, also, the topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. There is a plethra of text from September 18, 2001, possible the first time she was in the news, through at least September 10, 2010, and hundred of articles in between that can be used to expand the article. The topic clearly is WP:N and in this MfD close, please note that is the consensus so this thing doen't get AfD'ed merely due to Geo Swan originating it. -- Uzma Gamal (talk) 13:29, 19 November 2010 (UTC)
