The result of the discussion was keep. PeterSymonds (talk) 09:03, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Using userspace as blog/self-promotion, violating WP:NOT and WP:UP. Contacted on user talk page, advising of policy; non-policy edits continued. Gave detailed explanation of how to move content into sandbox; non-policy edits continued. -- KuyaBriBriTalk 00:07, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep One day old. Seems to be closer to a permitted c.v. than to a blog (which it does not appear to be at all) or "self-promotion" since all c.v.s are "self promotion." Remove the "myspace" link if that is the problem, but otherwise I suggest a reasonable chance at discussion with him. Collect (talk) 10:51, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep This is a new user, the content of the page looks like the attempt to prepare an article. It doesn't look like blatant spam or promotion, and as such I think it's okay to keep it as is. Raven1977Talk to meMy edits 17:53, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment. I tried encouraging him to sandbox the content out of the assumption that he was preparing an article on himself — a major COI issue but not grounds for deletion by itself. He has not once responded to my comments/suggestions. If it would be appropriate for me to create a sandbox page in his userspace and move the content there, I will do so and withdraw this nomination. I'm always reluctant to edit pages in other people's userspaces other than talk pages and vandalism. KuyaBriBriTalk 18:05, 12 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Writing about yourself for your own userpage is not COI. Nor is COI forbidden as an absolute. Nor does a fair reading of your posts giving him less than a day to comply constitute much "encouragement." The DEADLINE is longer than a day. Collect (talk) 11:10, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
