The jig is up[edit]

The jig is up (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

this redirect for The jig is up (if i've done it right this time) goes to a Styx song. i recall this is a colloquialism for getting caught, and the article says nothing about the line. i can not think of where else to redirect this so i am proposing deletion. • Comment-- a quick google search reveals that "The jig is up" is the first line or the chorus of Renegade (Styx song). It is possible that people who do not know the name of the song but have heard it playing would think that "the jig is up" is the name of the song. That said, Renegade (Styx song) received 3737 views last month while The jig is up recieved only 51 views last month so it would seem that very few, if any, people are getting the song title confused. By the way, why isn't this at RfD? --E♴(talk) 15:14, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • Is there a particular reason why this debate is here, and not at WP:RFD? RFD is generally the proper place for deletion debates on redirects, as it has regulars who are knowledgable on what is and what is not a good redirect. - TexasAndroid (talk) 15:57, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
