Template:User wikipedia/Not administrator[edit]

Unused. No comment on the actual usefulness of this userbox, but the reality is that it isn't being used despite creation happening way back in 2013, so there's no point in keeping it. See Category:Not an admin user templates for alternatives. ~ Rob13Talk 10:49, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Redirect to User:Mandarax/UBX/Not admin. Template:User wikipedia/Not administrator is worded: "This user is not an administrator on the English Wikipedia", which leaves the reader wondering if the user is an admin on another Wikipedia. For this reason User:Mandarax/UBX/Not admin is better, and otherwise identical. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 23:35, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
    • @SmokeyJoe: I fully support a redirect if you believe the new target is close enough, although I'm always a bit hesitant to possibly alter content by redirecting to a template that isn't virtually identical to the original. If you want to redirect and close this as a speedy, I would not object. ~ Rob13Talk 23:39, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
      • Yes, I you agree that the differing words "on the English Wikipedia" are essentially meaningless and even possibly confusing, the two userboxes are identical. And fairly trivial. I am a strong believer in redirection to fix accidental forks. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 23:41, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
        • Eh, I don't know that it's trivial (what if they are an admin on another closely related project, like Commons?) and I wouldn't consider it a fork, persay, but I'll cede to your judgement on this. ~ Rob13Talk 23:49, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
          • I suggest that if someone wants to allude to being an administrator elsewhere, they shouldn't allude, but state it explicitly. So not, it is not technically a fork, but I support redirection. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 23:57, 16 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
