The result of the debate was Speedy Delete WP:SNOW. This isn't even close to what Portal: space is for. — xaosflux Talk 16:32, 28 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Portal:Windows Skins[edit]

This is simply not portal material. Portals are designed to help readers and/or editors navigate their way through Wikipedia topic areas as entry-points for Wikipedia content. This is merely a directory of Windows skins (I think, anyway, it's actually difficult to make heads or tails of it). Subpages as well: Portal:Windows Skins/Selected article, Portal:Windows Skins/Selected picture, Portal:Windows Skins/box-footer, Portal:Windows Skins/Intro, Portal:Windows Skins/box-header · j e r s y k o talk · 22:42, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete as nominator. · j e r s y k o talk · 22:42, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Agree with nominator. This wouldn't be bad for a website, but it's just not what wikipedia is for. --Zantastik talk 22:45, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Portals aren't a directory or an indiscriminate collection of information, especially when skins are indefinite. Michaelas10 (Talk) 22:55, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete In my eyes, this is web stuff that isn't appropriate for Wikipedia. Tohru Honda13 23:19, 26 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per a couple of sections of WP:NOT cited by Michaelas10. The Talk page has never been used (redlinked from the portal page at this writing), so it hasn't been that sort of collaborative work, and content appears to be a start (under construction) toward the sort of project that might be useful (not mission-critical but nice for at least a few people) on some website somewhere, but is not the kind of project that Wikipedia is. Windows is a commercial product which pretty much makes this portal explicitly WP:NOT, but even if this sort of web directory were for a popular open-source desktop's skins, it still wouldn't meet WP's policies. • Delete, not a proper portal, wrong place to make such a portal like this. Terence Ong 15:53, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Is not being used as a portal. –Llama man 23:48, 27 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
