Portal:Macau[edit]

Portal:Macau (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Another abandoned-for-a-decade static page.

This was created in September 2006‎ by Leungli (talk · contribs), who hasn't edited since 2008.

Special:PrefixIndex/Portal:Macau shows that it has

WP:POG#How_often_to_update? says that unless automated, the content selection should be updated monthly, or preferably weekly. Even on a monthly cycle, this pseudo-portal has missed over 130 consecutive updates, and it is time to stop wasting the time of readers by luring them to this abandoned draft.

Macau may be a broad enough topic to support a portal, but WP:POG guides that portals should be about "broad subject areas, which are likely to attract large numbers of interested readers and portal maintainers". This one has never even been properly built, never mind attracting maintainers. Time to stop waiting for Godot.

So I propose that this portal and its sub-pages be deleted per WP:TNT, without prejudice to recreating a curated portal in accordance with whatever criteria the community may have agreed at that time. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 19:24, 10 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - Yet another abandoned portal. The topic may or may not be a country, but this has not been maintained. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:06, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as WP:PORTAL failure; for portals to fulfil their raison d'etre they must be actively maintained. SITH (talk) 12:44, 12 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. Per nom and above. Abandoned portal that offers little over the main article+navbox, and will only depreciate the main article's integrity in the eyes of readers. Britishfinance (talk) 12:58, 17 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
