5 Near empty portals created by newish editor, add no value.
Also nominated are:
- Portal:Albania
- Portal:Las Vegas
- Portal:Miami
- Portal:Romani people Fram (talk) 09:11, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- Delete all per nom. I'm somewhat surprised that these wouldn't fall under some kind of P1 speedy deletion criteria. A single sentence or redirect is obviously not suitable content for a portal. 86.23.109.101 (talk) 01:20, 15 January 2022 (UTC)
- Delete All – All have tagged as P2, underpopulated portal, because they are not portals, but either redirects or stubs. They are not eligible for deletion as P1, which is portals that would be eligible for speedy deletion if they were articles, because they are not exactly A1 or A3. However, P2 does apply.
I thought, when I saw this nomination, that these might be real portals, which have adherents who seem to think that they provide some mystical value to the encyclopedia that cannot be documented because it is mystical. These are not portals, and they are not anything else useful. The editor who has created these pseudo-portals is mostly creating large numbers of redirects, which appear on first glance to be valid redirects. Presumably they are creating redirects because creating redirects is easy and fun, and have some utility. These pseudo-portals do not have utility.
- Kazakhstan – A real portal was created in 2007, and was not maintained since 2008, and had only two articles, and was deleted in August 2019. This is worse.
- Albania – This was a stillborn portal that was deleted in August 2019 with only two articles. But this redirect is worse.
- Las Vegas – There was a real portal created in 2006, not maintained, and deleted in June 2019 after discussion.
- Miami – There was a real portal that was deleted in June 2019 as part of a package of deletion of city portals after lengthy discussion.
- Romani people – There was a real portal that was created in 2007 and then abandoned in 2013, and deleted in June 2019.
