The basic idea is no individual company gets a portal. So Portal:Video games is a broad topic but a developer of video games is not. Portals get very few readers anyway so it is no big loss. Articles are where it's at. Legacypac (talk) 23:42, 10 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Much of the original work I put into that template has instead been nearly entirely replaced by higher ups, which was quite disappointing for me to see. I'll see if I can put some more effort into that portal, although I don't know if this thing will last that long for me to get on it, I'm rather busy. Delete - The statement by the originator of this portal is that the portal platoon have broken the portal so that it is not being maintained. This probably applies to many other heritage portals. The limited focus was a problem anyway. Robert McClenon (talk) 02:54, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Delete as not a broad subject. I also agree with the "no portals for individual companies" viewpoint - otherwise editors may feel they need to create/keep a portal for their favorite brand (to "prove" that it deserves the recognition of having a portal) regardless of whether readers ever look at the portal and with all the negative effects of portals.
