The WP:F2 tag was removed by RHaworth (talk · contribs) for unclear reasons. We do not maintain local file information pages for Commons files unless the file information page contains certain templates such as {{Featured picture}}, and this file information page doesn't contain a single template. --Stefan2 (talk) 11:19, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Wrong forum. Go to WP:FfD. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 23:14, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- Comment Pursuant to Wikipedia:Files for discussion/heading, section VII, subdivision 4, this is appropriately a file description page with no local file hosted here. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 00:54, 19 April 2016 (UTC)

Keep Ok, if allowed, let me take off my admin hat and comment. I don't think that F2 would apply either since it's not a corrupt, missing or empty file. Footnote 12 asks to check if Mediawiki can render the file which isn't the issue here. The local description is just two category additions here. It's not any actual file information here. Category:Fleet of the Royal Canadian Navy (Historic) seems to have a number of images in them. I find it odd but I don't have any personal objection to their inclusion and see no reason why the clear consensus to permit the use of Commons images that way should be overturned. Am I missing something? -- Ricky81682 (talk) 01:18, 19 April 2016 (UTC)- Learning so many unique bits of policy with this discussion. Changing vote to delete per WP:FILECAT. -- Ricky81682 (talk) 22:00, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
- WP:F2 says that WP:F2 is to be used for local file information pages for Commons files, unless the file information page contains certain templates such as {{featured picture}}. This is a local file information page for a Commons file which doesn't contain any template at all (except {{mfd}}). Since it doesn't contain any template at all, it doesn't contain any of those templates which would exempt the file from WP:F2, and the page should therefore be deleted. --Stefan2 (talk) 01:50, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
- The issue clearly relates to an image. Expertise on images is to be found at FfD. I think these matters belong at FfD, contrary to some obscure text identified. My attempt at reading WP:CSD#F2 leads me to feel that it doesn't apply. I cannot see a deletion reason in the nomination statement. Therefore, default to keep. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 01:30, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
- Delete. Files on Commons are not categorized on Wikipedia. WP:FILECAT clarifies this, as well as a file's description page falling under WP:CSD#F2. Stefan2's speedy deletion request should not have been declined in the first place. — ξxplicit 07:03, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
