Draft:Rantic[edit]

Draft:Rantic (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

This draft is about a website created as part of deliberate hoaxes, apparently by the hoaxers themselves. According to the New York Magazine, Rantic is "the website of a fake viral marketing company", with the Washington Post reporting that "there isn’t even a Rantic Marketing! The “company,” which swore it was hired by Hollywood publicists, is actually just another front for a group of Internet pranksters called Social VEVO." There's no indication that this particular website, despite being mentioned in lots of news pieces, is independently notable. What's worse, the draft contains subtle falsehoods despite citing 50 sources. Also note that the current version is written by the same IP as this version, which tries to present the "company" as legitimate.

In summary, the subject of the article does not exist and is merely a front for another organization, and neither the author nor the subject can be trusted to provide accurate information. The topic isn't notable in the first place, and we're better off with providing no information than with helping to spread untruths. Compare Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/FoxWeekly on another front by the same organization of hoaxers. Huon (talk) 17:53, 9 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

No where in the article did I state that the marketing group was a "company". If you believe that there's a conflict of interest, then please fix all the errors in the draft. If you don't think it qualifies for article space, then please delete the draft. 98.249.241.179 (talk) 19:01, 10 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
