Draft:R. E. Moore Prize (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Draft for a very niche mathematics prize which has been awarded biennially only six times in its history by an American university and reviewed by the editorial board of a very small journal which no longer publishes. Sources do not seem to lend themselves to notability. Creator of the draft has not edited in over a year. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 12:40, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. I would be inclined to keep this but make it a subsection in an article on Ramon E. Moore. Under the right circumstances, I would also note that a prize can be notable even though awarded only once. Of course, these are not such circumstances, but the fact that the process was undertaken is not insignificant. It is a data point of recognition that supports the notability of each recipient. bd2412 T 13:15, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'd support that, but the fact we do not have an article on Dr. Moore suggested to me that the prize bearing his name was also not notable. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 13:45, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
