Draft:Odisha Bigyan Academy (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Declined six times by different reviewers. Resubmissions don't show improvement. Still largely sourced to itself. Tagging for deletion. KJP1 (talk) 17:29, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • Withdrawn - in view of the discussion below. KJP1 (talk) 05:28, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep. The condition of the draft when it was declined multiple times contributed to the reasons for the declines. The Indian English, the structure of the draft, the many spelling mistakes and poor grammar made it difficult for reviewers to grasp the significance of the subject. Since then, I have just spent a couple of hours rescuing the draft, convinced that it has merit. It is frustrating that the nomination has come before I've finished. So why do I think this should be kept? This government-funded organisation has been instrumental in the promotion of scientific research in one of the larger states of India (population 42m). The awards are presented by the Chief Minister. Think National Academy of Sciences but at a state rather than federal level and in a developing nation. Let me continue to dig through the press releases and find some more quality references. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 18:20, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep What's disheartening here is that the decline messages were mostly the same old copy and pasted "This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability..." boilerplate, that made no mention of exactly *how* this draft could be improved. There are no mandated limits on draft submissions as far as I am aware? Curb Safe Charmer has done a fine job here establishing notability.Egaoblai (talk) 20:24, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep - Academy would certainly survive AFD due to the sources present, I don't really see any reason to delete something that's currently being worked on[1]Davey2010Talk 22:38, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Mainspace. Probably will pass AfD. AfC declines are pedantic and harsh out of proportion to the help provided by the comments or anything else from AfC. Keeping it in draftspace keeps it out of sight of potentially interested editors, fleshing out of this topic requires adding incoming links, which is not allowed in draftspace. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 23:43, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with SmokeyJoe. Move it to mainspace.Egaoblai (talk) 23:53, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

. It should not be deleted as: I have modified it on 29th April as per the instructions of the Reviewer. Earlier I could not realise the methodology as I am a learner in this field. I sincerely request not to delete the draft of Odisha Bigyan Academy for Wikipedia as it is a subject of interest to the community in general and scientists in particular.

If there will be any other suggestion I am ready to do.

Hope it will not be deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Surendranath Nayak (talkcontribs) 06:01, 30 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Of course, very happy to do so. Is the above enough, or do I need to do something else? KJP1 (talk) 05:28, 1 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
