Draft:Defiant Wrestling[edit]

Draft:Defiant Wrestling (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Defiant Wrestling has been deleted multiple times as being not notable. The draft has been declined for failing notability. The organization is now closed so there is no reason to believe it will ever become notable. Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 19:27, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete with silver bullets and silver chloride, which is a salt. This draft was rejected, and is still being worked on. Rejection should either be final or be discussed, not just worked on. Robert McClenon (talk) 22:47, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • It looks deleteable as PROMOTION, but there are sources. At least the first three WP:THREE should be carefully analysed before deleting. I haven’t looked at them yet. —SmokeyJoe (talk) 03:15, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • @SmokeyJoe: WP:PW/RS has wrestling specific sources and whether or not they are notable. Cagematch.net is considered all WP:ROUTINE so it cannot establish notability. Any sources on the draft that are youtube or wearedefiant.com would be primary. Here are the remainder of the sources:
  1. [1] - Covers their name change, but does not go in depth beyond that
  2. [2] - Goes somewhat in depth, but focuses a lot on the UK professional wrestling scene in general
  3. [3] - Not a RS
  4. [4] - Vast majority of the article is a quote from the twitter page showing it closed
  5. [5] - ROUTINE coverage
  6. [6] - General listing of events, not specific to Defiant
  7. [7] - Another general listing of events
  8. [8] - ROUTINE coverage
  9. [9] - Just a copy of Defiant's press release, so PRIMARY
  10. [10] - I do not see Defiant mentioned here anywhere, appears to just be pulling in to tie more info into the previous article
  11. [11] - Focuses on a different promotion with a passing mention of Defiant
  12. [12] - Dead link
  13. [13] - Vast majority of the article is a quote from the twitter page showing it closed
  14. [14] - Passing mention
  15. [15] - Not sure if its a RS, but again majority of the article is a quote from the twitter page showing it closed
  16. [16] - ROUTINE
  17. [17] - About their championship at another promotion, barely a passing mention, and ROUTINE coverage
  18. [18] - ROUTINE coverage
  19. [19] - ROUTINE coverage
  20. [20] - ROUTINE coverage
  21. [21] - ROUTINE coverage
  • Based on a full analysis of all sources, once you remove ROUTINE and backdoor PRIMARY, the only RS left are 1 & 2 above. I do not believe that is enough to meet even the bare minimum of WP:GNG. - Galatz גאליץשיחה Talk 13:18, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
