The result of the discussion was delete. We can either delete this now or wait six months after the AfC tag was added for G13 to apply, either way the outcome will be the same, and there is nothing worth retaining. kelapstick(bainuu) 20:28, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
As explained here, I wrongly added the AFC submission banner to this page and got it deleted. This article was created in April 2014, dormant until I found it in August 2015 from Wikipedia talk, moved here, wrongly tagged with an AFC banner and then deleted by User:JamesBWatson based on its non-editing for 18 months in October 2015. I'm not sure if this should be restored and put here or just deleted again but either way, it was never going anywhere and isn't now. Ricky81682 (talk) 05:25, 21 January 2016 (UTC)
- Comment: I don't agree that Ricky81682 "wrongly" added the AfC submission banner. It was a perfectly reasonable way of dealing with a page which had been created as "Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Big Fix (Malayalam Movie)", and which was therefore clearly intended as an AfC. The stuff about what Ricky81682 being "wrong" has been stirred up by an editor with a history of aggressively insisting that his view of how AfC pages should be treated is the only "right" one, and anything else is "wrong". (That editor has in the past been admonished by the arbitration committee for battleground approach to dealing with other editors in connection with AfC.) The page has not been edited since April 2014 apart from a few technical things (such as a bot removing a category and Ricky81682's addition of the AfC submission template) and one brief comment on Ricky81682's submission. A discussion with very widespread participation reached the decision that drafts which have not been edited for six months can be speedily deleted. This page qualified for such deletion on 10 October 2014, but it was not deleted, presumably because nobody noticed it. At the time when Ricky81682 first touched the page, it had been unedited for over 16 months, apart from two bot edits, and bot edits are specifically discounted in speedy deletion criterion G13. Apart from bot edits, the only edits since the page was created have been Ricky81682's minor edits such as addition of the AfC submission templates, and one other minor edit following directly from that. I can't believe that most of the participants in that discussion intended that deletion of an article unedited for six months but not deleted could then be avoided for years by a few trivial events such as an editor moving the page to Draft space and labelling it there as an AfC submission. If Ricky81682 had not touched it, the page would unambiguously qualify for speedy deletion under criterion G13. The only reasonable way of seeing this, in my view, is as a stale draft which qualifies for the spirit of G13, and putting it through MfD just because Ricky81682's edits prevent it from satisfying the strict letter of that policy is in my opinion unnecessary, but since it is here let it be deleted at the end of this discussion. - I too don't agree that the adding of the template was "wrong" or bad or anything. However, the G13 process should start counting from the addition of the template. Sorting out the underlying subject seems difficult. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 11:01, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
