Draft:Anjali Tendulkar (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)

Wife of a cricket player. According to article lead she "has maintained a relatively low profile." This was moved from mainspace and submitted to AfC. Notability is not inherited. Legacypac (talk) 06:25, 13 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It was in mainspace where notability does apply. If you two are planning to tag team yor way into disrupting MfD again with your stingy reading of policy where you pick and choose phrases instead of looking at principles I wish you luck. I want no part of it. In this case all the sourcing is about how she is married to a notable person or the daughter of some rich people. Legacypac (talk) 03:40, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
WP:AGF.
This still isn't relevant to a draft, but in case it comes up in article space at some point: the essay WP:NOTINHERITED points out that an editor's claim of "she's related to X" is not a well-considered !vote in a deletion discussion. If sources discuss the topic in that context, that can be an indicator of notability. VQuakr (talk) 03:57, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
you exhasted good faith a long time ago. Legacypac (talk) 04:15, 20 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Comment I was the one who moved the article to the draft space as it had been a a redirect to her husband for a year and a half and a new editor recreated the page and after I recreated the redirect they asked to be able to work on the article as they claimed to have new sources that would prove her notability. I then submitted it for review. As it is the article does not pass GNG IMHO as she is simply a wife of and if it does pass review and arrives in main article space again it will certainly get nominated for deletion again. It was an A7 candidate 3 times and an admin decided to leave it as a redirect. As Wikipedia_talk:Notability/Archive_58#RfC:_Does_WP:N_apply_to_drafts_in_userspace_or_draftspace.3F says that notability is not a reason to delete a draft and there is nothing else to counter this then I would !vote keep and wait to see if it eventually returns to main article space and then nominate for delete if notability is not met.
