Book:United States[edit]

Delete This is mostly a directory to other books. As such, it will not render properly when applied to the PDF or Pediapress software. Wikipedia books are... fragile... at the moment and this will not do anything useful, and might actually cause temporary damage to/shut down the poor server that handles the conversions. The section that lists other books is made redundant by a category on Wikibooks on the United States. The whether related articles should be in a book on the whether of the United States. Convert to disambiguation This should probably be converted to a disambiguation, a la Book:Wikipedia Signpost. In general however, the US books need a good overhaul. Have a main book similar to Book:Canada, then convert the rest to Book:History of the US, Book:Demographics of the US, etc... Disambiguate per Headbomb. I considered converting this one myself but wasn't sure what format to use as I hadn't previously seen Book:Wikipedia Signpost. In reply to RL0919, WP:CLN makes it pretty clear that categories and lists (including disambiguation pages) are not redundant to each other. While I personally like using categories for navigation, many readers do not use categories for navigation because they don't even know that they exist (with the category links inconspicuously located at the bottom of the page). --Tothwolf (talk) 17:46, 23 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- The thing is, a list article is still an article, but a list of books is not a book. And by normal disambiguation standards, none of the book titles linked on this page require disambiguation.
