Request Information

Request made by: Geoff B 20:04, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Where is the issue taking place?
... Slither (film) and Talk:Slither (film)
Who's involved?
... Tromaintern and 66.159.192.213, principally. There have been other editors regurgitating the same debate earlier, and possibly some sockpuppetry.
What's going on?
... Revert war between someone who does like the film and someone who doesn't.
What would you like to change about that?
... I'd like it to stop so we have a stable article we can work on.
Would you prefer we work discreetly? If so, how can we reach you?
... No, be as open as you like. The conflict itself is not exactly subtle. Feel free to leave a message on my Talk page or email me.

Mediator response

[edit]

I will be mediating. If you have proof of sockpuppetry, and the users, file a WP:RFCU request. Geo. 19:11, 3 November 2006 (UTC)

I'm afraid there has been rather a lot of deletion going on on the Talk page (which seems to have abated, thankfully) so the only thing left is an allegation of sockpuppetry. Geoff B 19:38, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Do you believe a user is a sockpuppet and if so do you have the proof for a Checkuser proceeding? Geo. 00:45, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
I don't believe there is any sockpuppetry going on any more, no. Geoff B 00:48, 4 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, who is doing the majority of reverts? Geo. 01:23, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Presently, it's between Tromaintern and 66.159.192.213. The article has passed through several spates of activity where two editors cannot seem to come to an agreement, and revert back and forth. This is merely the most recent. I believe there was an earlier appeal for mediation (got nowhere), and someone from 3rd opinion turned up (calmed things down for a short while but again, no agreement was reached). Can you please indicate which of the many pages the disambiguation link goes to is the location of the dispute. --Ideogram 11:59, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, that should be Slither (film) Geoff B 22:19, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No response for several days. Closing. --Ideogram 01:50, 8 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
