Basic information

[edit]

The Dolby–Blob–Cars vandal, also known as the Ottawa music vandal, is an editor who has repeatedly vandalized articles related to the musician Thomas Dolby, the 1988 film The Blob, and the band known as the Cars. The person started vandalizing in 2007 and is still active.

Typical edits include changing to wrong acting credits in The Blob,[1][2][3] wrong musician credits at the Cars articles,[4] and wrong musician credits at Thomas Dolby articles.[5] Other wrong information may include song durations, record label[6] and dates.[7]

The vandalism began in 2007 in the Toronto area of Canada (the first 2 IP addresses have since been reassigned). Around 2015, the exact same vandalism shifted to IPs in Ottawa, Canada.
