It's rather gray for this logo. It both fails and passes NFCC1 depending on how you look at it. This logo is an image of a living person, so theoretically, the image can be replaced with a free equivalent. Any comments for this? --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 02:15, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This image has an incorrect tag. While tag as copyrighted, this image isn't a logo, it is a photograph of a living person, Arun Rupesh Maini. Delete it, non-free media depicting a living person constitutes violation of WP:NFCC#1, because it always replaceable with other images depicting him. Kys5g talk! 03:15, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Then strong delete. Though there isn't any free images exist, it still violates the policy, and considered violating WP:NFC#UUI, point 1.
WP:FREER also stated that: If the answer to either is yes (A: Can be replaced by a free content and B: Would serve the same functions like non-free ones), the non-free content probably does not meet this criterion (WP:NFCC#1). Note that the replacement image does not need to exist; it is sufficient that it could be created – for example, in most cases, a photograph of a living person can be taken and released under a free license. This image has an incorrect tag. While tag as copyrighted, this image isn't a logo, it is a photograph of a living person, Christopher Michael Dixon. This file has a non-free rationale, but it does not have a license tag indicating its license. Kys5g talk! 10:29, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:Seal of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF).svg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by FOX 52 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Per source, this file is from Bangladesh Air Force's website. Such media from this website is / are licensed freely under CC BY-SA 4.0. Kys5g talk! 13:57, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Kys5g That means it can be uploaded in Commons. Then it is not non-free. Mehedi Abedin 07:33, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I also thought about relicensing it without discussion, but I think the uploader may decline it, or it is only allowed in some circumstances. Relicensing the image should have a discussion, either in the file talk or this (FfD). Moreover, this file lacks many older revisions, and I don't want to disturb the admins and bot operators to get a consent restoring them, but I'll talk to one of the revision removers. •  Comment:: I'm unable to access www.baf.mil.bd since the link times out when I click on it; however, I did find this August 2023 archived version of the site, and there's nothing that can find on that version which states its content has been released under a CC by-sa 4.0 license; in fact, if you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the site, it actually states "© 2022 Bangladesh Air Force. All Rights Reserved". Perhaps the license was changed, but linking to a Creative Commons website about CC BY-SA 4.0 is not really helpful, but linking to an actual licensing statement on the Bangladesh Air Force's website would make licensing verification much easier. -- Marchjuly (talk) 12:19, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Move to Commons: Just because it is free does not warrant an FFD to move to commons. I think this FFD is a waste of time. If the OP wishes, I can move the logo to Commons, just ping me. — thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 14:02, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Marchjuly, same happened to me. Little suspicious. *insert thinking emoji here* — thetechie@enwiki: ~/talk/ $ 14:42, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The file shouldn't be moved to Commons unless the CC license can be verified because it's likely going to end up tagged for speedy deletion or being discussed at c:COM:DR if it is. Moreover, it's going to be assumed that the person moving the file has indeed verified said license and can demonstrate the file is licensed as such per c:COM:EVID. The file's current licensing may be incorrect, but the file isn't really in danger of being deleted due to it being used as non-free content. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:17, 27 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:Sketch (streamer) icon.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Http iosue (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

This is not a logo. This is a photograph of a Sketch that he uses as his YouTube image, similar to a profile picture. We certainly do not allow, say, Facebook profile pictures to be used in this manner, so this is no different. Fails WP:NFCC#1. – Pbrks (t·c) 15:08, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete - No clear reason why the subject's YouTube logo would be any better for identification than any non-copyrighted photo of him.--Martin IIIa (talk) 12:10, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
