Image is not a U.S. government work as it from FSU. Florida state universities and colleges are permitted to claim copyright (see {{PD-FLGov}} for details). The source website's copyright statement indicates "All rights reserved." Ixfd64 (talk) 02:15, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: As determined below, the file is clearly non-free. However, it was mentioned that there is a freely licensed version on Commons, so defaulting to using that. -Fastily 03:43, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:Counter-Strike 2023.svg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by POEFTWADLFTL (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

File is currently tagged as PD-textlogo. However, I doubt that the person on the logo is actually too simple for copyright protection. The file should probably converted to fair use. See also c:Commons:Threshold_of_originality#United_States_of_America --TheImaCow (talk) 09:29, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep but modify to remove the person. I'm unsure the shape is creative enough to be eligible for copyright, it may well be, so I err on the safe side, which is to just remove it and leave just the letters. --Bedivere (talk) 21:00, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Relicense to non-free logo and add a fair use. I don't think modifying a logo just to keep it compliant with PD-logo is a good option. Salavat (talk) 03:31, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Agree with reclicensing to fair use. It's above TOO, but absolutely meets WP:NFCC. ~ F4U (talkthey/it) 18:42, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Relicense to fair use because it's definitely copyrightable.

Disney film poster published in 1933. The file is tagged as being public domain, because template:PD-US-no-notice. However, I highly doubt that a Walt Disney Co. work was published without proper copyright notice, and this file should stay under fair use until 2027, when the US copyright runs out. Pinging Philroc (talk · contribs), who tagged the file this way, Yann (talk · contribs) who reverted it, and Bedivere (talk · contribs) who re-reverted it. --TheImaCow (talk) 10:52, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It wouldn't be the first of Mickey film posters without a copyright notice. See File:Mickey Mouse Color Stock Poster (Celebrity Productions era, 1928).jpg, published in 1928 without a copyright notice. Here is another version of the same poster, and I don't see a notice either. but here is a 1974 version with a copyright notice. I searched all original versions of this poster, and neither have a copyright notice, so Keep for me. Only later versions have a copyright notice. I uploaded some to Commons: c:Category:Building a Building (1933). Yann (talk) 11:01, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, good to know. I was sceptical because the notice could have been cropped/edited out, and the file was orginally uploaded as fair use. Then this issue is resolved, however, the file can be deleted from wikipedia when it's on commons, per CSD F8. --TheImaCow (talk) 15:29, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: As determined below, this is non-free. Converting it to fair use would fail WP:NFCC#8. No prejudice to restoration if the article is significantly expanded with sourced critical commentary explicitly discussing this image in-depth -Fastily 03:43, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:ArribaelTelonshot.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Dr. Blofeld (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

File currently tagged as PD-AR-photo, which is for argentinian photos older than 25 years. However, this is a photo of a movie, and there are special rules for movies: +70 years at the death of the last writer/producer/director. The last writer, Marino Moses died 2016, which would mean that the movie/the screenshot of it is protected until 2082 in Argentinia, or until 2046 in the US (+95 years from creation, 1951). The file should be converted to fair use or deleted. --TheImaCow (talk) 15:05, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete per nom and per WP:NFCC8, since the image is inserted in the article without context and is not discussed. Thriftycat TalkContribs 17:55, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep The picture does not look like it is a screenshot of the movie. It may well be a photograph of the making. And so I think the image should be kept. --Bedivere (talk) 05:13, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do we have evidence of this? The uploader claimed that it was a screenshot (permalink). A quick IA and reverse image search turned up no good results. Thriftycat TalkContribs 16:34, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete. We should take the uploader at their word that it was a screenshot of the movie. SilverLocust 💬 00:33, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File already copied to commons, but tagged with template:Keep local. However, there is no obvious reason for doing so, and the uploader who added it hasn't edited for the last 7 years. File should be deleted here. --TheImaCow (talk) 17:58, 6 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
