I believe this image is below c:COM:TOO-US, as highway signs are {{PD-USGov-MUTCD}}. The Quirky Kitty (talk) 07:06, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Not sure what the nominator is getting at, but since the fair use rationale is about to be voided as its only use is about to be merged away, Delete. --Rschen7754 07:16, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Rschen7754: The nominator is saying that the image is not copyrighted, being too simple to qualify for copyright protection, and thus should be relicenced as a free image. Which would render the fair use rationale unnecessary. Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 09:42, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I don't agree. Some of the elements may be PD because they're in the MUTCD, but I think their arrangement and recoloring tip this over threshold of originality. As such, I think the FUR is still required, but the article for this topic is on the verge of deletion/merger away from existence. Thus, I would delete this logo once that merger is complete and the logo is no longer in use. Imzadi 1979  14:04, 30 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Delete. The only use of this image has now been merged into Interstate 694, and the image has not been used in the result of the merger. -Asheiou (they/them • talk) 12:30, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Should be moved to Commons, since this is probably below TOO. —Matr1x-101 {user page (@ commons) - talk} 10:09, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not that sure about the winged toaster. That is not really "simple geometric shapes". Felix QW (talk) 15:23, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think the winged toaster drawing puts it above the threshold. The Quirky Kitty (talk) 09:11, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Keep on WP the winged toaster doodles are easily above TOO, or at least reasonable suspicion of such. Dronebogus (talk) 12:08, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think that this image adds anything that File:Crystal Bird Fauset (cropped).jpg doesn't, or really anything substantive enough to make it meet WP:NFCC#8 Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk) 14:13, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete. The free image covers the topic just as well. -Asheiou (they/them • talk) 12:31, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Description indicates this is a very (very) old copyvio. AntiCompositeNumber (talk) 23:27, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete on top of being a copyvio you wouldn’t even need unfree media to illustrate this topic Dronebogus (talk) 12:10, 31 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Delete for the copyvio. -Asheiou (they/them • talk) 12:32, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
