As I'm very sure, the whole side-A label of the US single release is ineligible for copyright and should be used in or transferred to Commons. The shield-looking logo is very unoriginal, plain, and simple. Also, the "Valiant" logo uses one of century-old typefaces. Furthermore, the red background is plain, glossy, and smooth, and information seen in the label is unoriginal expression of facts about the specific recording. Perhaps someone else else disagrees with me. George Ho (talk) 01:40, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted twice on Commons (in 2013 and 2016) as being above the threshold of originality and ineligible for Commons. As I believe, the UK law can copyright the album cover of Love, Lust, Faith and Dreams as English artist Damien Hirst designed the cover. However, I'm uncertain about the whole cover's US copyright status. There are just circles using flat various colors, white background, and simple typeface for album title and band name. Are they enough for the US law to consider it original enough for US copyright? I tried finding images using various colors in a same shape tagged "PD-ineligible" without luck. Either "PD-ineligible-USonly" or still non-free. George Ho (talk) 04:24, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Remove from all articles except Crucifixion (Corpus Hypercubus) per WP:NFC#UUI #6 — JJMC89(T·C) 04:55, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment. Sigh. I realize that NFC#UUI #6 is what it is, but the use of the image on the other pages where it is used should receive some attention in this discussion. It really does play a central role in the subject matter. I've been trying hard to find a policy-based argument for keeping it on the other pages, and admittedly I can't. But this makes me feel bad. --Tryptofish (talk) 19:33, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We don't need both this image and File:MarioKart8Boxart.jpg on the same article (Mario Kart 8) to represent two editions of the same game that are both covered in the article. Aside from that, this image is oversized and, if kept instead of the cover for the original MK8, should be reduced to no wider than 257 pixels. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 08:40, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This promotional photo is being used as primary visual identification for the MasterChef Junior (American season 8) article. This image is not a title card, logo, or other similar image that is used for identifying this season of the show. Fails WP:NFCC#8. The promo phot is of the hosts who are all living people so it also fails WP:NFCC#1. Whpq (talk) 23:12, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, a promotional poster would be okay. Whpq (talk) 23:34, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yes, I'm dumb- already a poster in use on the previous season article, lol. I'm assuming same should likely be done on MasterChef (American season 11) as well (and use a poster such as this)? Magitroopa (talk) 23:39, 17 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]
