File:Human chromosomal position of WDR90 gene.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Shul0129 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Taken from a website and permissions says "Free for academic non-profit institutions." so GFDL claim is unsure. MGA73 (talk) 09:50, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. If the crumpled paper effect was designed digitally, it is copyrighted. If it is a photo of crumpled paper, then the photo is copyrighted. This can not possibly be freely licensed unless the author releases it as such, which is very unlikely for Nintendo will do. plicit 07:18, 1 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

File:Old Paper Mario Logo.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Panini! (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

The licensing on this logo claims it to be PD as it is too simple for copyright. Although much of it just text in a specific font, it is backed by crumpled paper which is more than a simple geometric shape. Conversion to non-free is not an option as it is not being used for identification in the infobox nor is it the subject of significant sourced commentary int he article body. • Delete, sounds fair enough. The only reason why it's being used currently is due to it being free, so why not use it? It would definitely fail NFCC if converted. Panini!🥪 15:01, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep I have crumpled a paper before 2012 so in that case I have the copyright for all crumpled paper :-D Okay I get the point but per WP:TOO I think the crumpled paper is also too simple to be copyrightable. --MGA73 (talk) 16:12, 24 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
