Extremely poor colourization of an image. It's use is an actual detriment to the articles it is used in. Whpq (talk) 03:23, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I actually have no problem with you deleting it, and you can end the discussion if you want. Charlie Smith FDTB (talk) 06:55, 10 June, 2020 (UTC)

It is not necessary to have three frames of the non free video in question for wp per nfcc#3. There are plenty of reports that cover the details of the event and you can link to the video, to understand how most this the man being push down by the officers, only one frame is needed to establish context within article Masem (t) 12:00, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Three different events are illustrated, each of which requires a very small still frame to convey the totality of the situation and necessary context of what has become a major source of public controversy. While it is a simple matter for you and I to watch the video, we serve a global audience and not all users have access to broadband HD video. Feoffer (talk) 18:12, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Strong Keep. Using something as illustration to help the reader identify the article, what's that?! HumanxAnthro (talk) 02:02, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That a website does not mention restrictions does not mean it is PD. I do not speak Russian but I tried Google Translate and could not see a notice that it is PD anywhere. MGA73 (talk) 15:56, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File:Donald J. Trump posing with Bible in front of St. John's Episcopal Church, Lafayette Square, Washington, D.C., June 1, 2020.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Space4Time3Continuum2x (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

This file is used under fair use, when a similar file under the public domain exists on Commons File:President Trump Visits St. John's Episcopal Church (49963649028).jpg. I don't see the C-SPAN version as superior or more "necessary" in the article to include it under fair use. Jonatan Svensson Glad (talk) 17:24, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I do think the 'raised bible' photo is a better picture, but we should try to find a free version. Feoffer (talk) 18:17, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
(49963649028).jpg isn't similar at all. These are the sources I presented in the discussion on the Talk page on June 5, 2020: NY Times,[1], [2], [3]), [4], [5], [6], [7]. If Trump had simply held the book, as he does in the picture released by the WH, it wouldn't have offended so many people as much as him holding it up like a trophy. There are no free equivalents. Why not use the one from File:Donald Trump photo op at St. John's Church.webm at around 0:11? — Jeluang Terluang (talk) 04:49, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
It's a still from an illegally downloaded video. The video, published on the White House Twitter account (WP:TWITTER) and called propaganda by a reliable secondary source (Washington Post), does not say that it is the "work of an employee of the Executive Office of the President of the United States, taken or made as part of that person's official duties." The uploader appears to have assumed that it is and uploaded it as being in the public domain. Just because someone publishes something on Twitter doesn't mean it's in the public domain. The photos the White House publishes on Flickr all clearly say that they are official White House photos taken by [name of employee], and that they are "Public Domain Mark 1.0." The Twitter posts don't say that. Twitter allows and enables people/organizations to embed tweets but not the downloading and using of just the video or photo from a tweet. I apologize in advance if this is not the correct place to discuss this. In reference to the citation (number 325) on the Donald Trump page. Wouldn't the fact that the linked page describes 60 secret service injuries and 11 hospitalizations negate the notion that the protests were peaceful? Again I apologize if this is not the correct place to cite this concern. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.229.9.234 (talk) 16:55, 16 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
