Hi @BU Rob13: The image you mentioned (File:Letgo logo.png) is the app icon, not the company logo. If their is a consensus to change the logo to the app icon on the company's Wikipedia page, if agree that the logo can be deleted. Above, I mentioned other contributors to the article so they can voice their opinions, as I have a neutral position on this matter. Daylen (talk) 04:44, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Daylen: Note that FfD runs differently than other deletion processes. Consensus cannot override our non-free content criteria, as the criteria represent legal obligations of the Wikimedia Foundation. The rationale for using the logo on the article is "to serve as the primary means of visual identification at the top of the article dedicated to the entity in question". It's rather unquestionable that the app logo could also serve to identify the company. In order to retain this logo, one would have to argue one of the following: (i) the app logo is not actually free, (ii) the app logo doesn't identify the company, (iii) the company logo serves a purpose other than identifying the company, and that purpose is valid under the non-free content criteria. Other arguments, such as which is "best" to include in the infobox, would not be considered by a closing admin due to the legal issues involved. ~ Rob₁₃^Talk 04:50, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Although the flickr post indicates that the image is public domain, the EXIF data indicates the image is copyrighted by EMPICS, a press photo and licensing agency. Is there enough imformation to determine if teh image has passed into the public domain? Whpq (talk) 14:37, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
