The commons equivalent of this image was considered to be PD. What is the correct status? Sfan00 IMG (talk) 08:45, 5 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Probably "t'would be nice to know why the Commons file is tagged as PD-1923, do we have evidence of publication?" Jo-Jo Eumerus (talk, contributions) 16:07, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Historic National Basketball Association logo being used in Sacramento Kings#Franchise history. There is no critical commentary on the logo in this section of the article. The text description of the logo in Sacramento Kings#Team logo, uniform and colors is unreferenced. I believe that the use of this logo in this way is in violation of WP:NFCCP#8.  ★  Bigr Tex 20:06, 5 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Relisting comment: For further consideration of the last two files

@DeltaQuad: This doesn't happen very often but the auto-closing bot works off of the file in the header. So if that is deleted but others in the set still exist the section will still be closed by the bot. You have to move some stuff around to get it to stay open. Oh and while I'm here, keep on the remaining two files. --Majora (talk) 04:08, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • I was about to close this one but I don't see the case for keeping the logos. They are not the subject of sourced commentary so they don't meet the contextual requirements of the WP:NFCC... Delete remaining files. Ping me if you have some sort of counterargument or find sources that justify the non-free images? czar 08:15, 6 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: keep UK logo as US-only czar 08:21, 6 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:Christian Aid Logo.svg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by CountingPine (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Non-free logo currently being used in Christian Aid and Platform2. Files does have a non-free use rationale for "Christian Aid", but does not have one for "Platform2". File has been tagged with {{di-missing some article links}} since February 2011 and I don't think the decorative way the file is being used in "Platform2" complies with WP:NFCC. So, if this file is licensed correctly as a {{non-free logo}}, then I suggest keep in "Christian Aid" and remove from "Platform2".

For what it's worth, it might be possible for this file's licensing to be converted to {{PD-logo}}. The UK's threshold of originality is quite low compared to other countries, so it might not qualify as public domain for Commons. Perhaps it is simple enough to keep locally on Wikipedia as {{PD-USonly}}? If the consensus is to convert to "PD-USonly", the file's usage would no longer be subject to the NFCC and it could be kept in both articles. -- Marchjuly (talk) 23:22, 29 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep and change licensing to "PD-USonly" as the image is below the threshold of originality. Salavat (talk) 02:19, 30 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
