The text in the article can identify the government so IMHO no logo is needed, The article is hardly ever edited which would explains why it's remained for so many years, if the logo was bigger and perhaps more creative then I could understand but it's extremely small, there's nothing creative about it and as I said text alone in this case identifies the agency. –Davey2010^Talk 00:39, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free image being used in Virgilio N. Cordero, Jr. and List of Puerto Rican military personnel. Each use has a non-free use rationale, but only the one for the biography article complies with WP:NFCC. Generally, it's acceptable to use a non-free image in the main infobox about deceased individuals per number 10 of WP:NFCI and WP:NFCC#1 as long as no freely licensed equivalent can be expected to be found or created. Non-free usage in other articles, however, harder to justify and in this particular case the file's usage in the list article fails WP:NFCC#8. The file is being used in an image gallery with 86 other images in List of Puerto Rican military personnel#Gallery of Puerto Rican military personnel. Using non-free images like this in image galleries is not really considered acceptable per WP:NFG because such usage almost always is decorative and lacking the context required by NFCC#8. Cordero, Jr. is mentioned by name with a wikilink to the stand-alone article about him in List of Puerto Rican military personnel#20th century, so there's not real justifiable reason for non-free use in the list article. Suggest keep for "Virgilio N. Cordero, Jr." and remove from "List of Puerto Rican military personnel", unless the file's licensing can be converted to some type of public domain or free license. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:09, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

- Simply adding a non-free use rationale does not automatically mean compliance with WP:NFCC. All adding a rationale does is stop the file from being nominated for speedy deletion per WP:F6 or removed per WP:NFCCE. The rationale still has to be valid, i.e., the file's non-free use is still required to satisfy all 10 non-free content criteria and having a rationale is only one part of WP:NFCC#10. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:38, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free image being used in Antonia Pantoja, List of Puerto Rican Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients and History of women in Puerto Rico. File has a non-free use rationale for the first two uses, but not for "History of women in Puerto Rico". Only the non-free use in the stand-alone article about Pantja seems justified since non-free photos of deceased individuals is generally considered OK per number 10 of WP:NFCI as long as there are no issues with WP:NFCC#1. Usage in list articles or galleries, on the other hand, tends to not be allowed because such usage is typically decorative and lacking the context required by WP:NFCC#8. There is no non-free justification for the way the file is being used in History of women in Puerto Rico#Gallery per WP:NFG or in the list article per WP:NFLISTS. This is a terrible photo of an apple corer. It is badly out of focus, so the object being held is barely even identifiable as an apple corer. The photo is dominated by the black leather glove that the person is inexplicably wearing. To make matters worse, the person would appear to be rather inexperienced or careless in the use of this device, as there are what look like drops of blood on the chopping-board.

It's true that the last couple of reasons aren't grounds for deletion, but the terrible quality of the photo and the fact that we have a perfectly good image of a corer in our article suggest that this image is not necessary. — This, that and the other (talk) 08:53, 2 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
